Who gets to shape the places we call home?

THE FILM

Designing for What Comes Next examines the human consequences of those choices through landscape architects and community voices confronting environmental loss and change.

From the aftermath of destructive fires in Southern California to questions of access, displacement, and public space, the documentary asks what it takes to rebuild without repeating the conditions that left communities vulnerable.

It is a film about recovery, responsibility, and the future of shared places—and about who gets a say in what comes next.
